How to measure for the perfect collar fit

We Recommend

  • Measure around your dog's neck leaving two fingers of room.
  • Use a soft measuring tape or a piece of string that you measure with a ruler.

What we DON'T recommend

  • Guessing (yes, I see some of you making it up on the fly! 🤣)
  • Measuring an existing collar. This may result in an inaccurate fit unless collar thickness, hardware etc are the same.

Collar Widths

Our Do Good Collars are offered in two widths - 5/8" (16mm) or 1 inch (25mm). The size you choose really depends on your dog, their size, and their neck length. Here is a rough guide:

  • 5/8" width: Neck sizes 8-15 inches
  • 1" width: Neck sizes great than 13"

Size:

1" (25mm) or 5/8" (16mm) wide in the length of your choice

Materials:

We've carefully selected and tested all of the elements that go into this collar:

  • Recycled Polyester webbing
  • The D-ring is welded, and we use a metal tri-glide.
  • The side-release buckle is a YKK buckle made from acetal plastic. It's one of the strongest lightweight buckles out there. They give you the wonderful "click" sound so you know it is closed, and they also have amazing memory retention, which means it will still "click" even after a thousand releases.
  • We sew our collars with industrial-weight thread to ensure the stitching is nice and strong!

  • Everything we make is made to last, but nothing is indestructible. For safety’s sake, check all of your dog’s gear regularly and discontinue use & replace anything that is worn out or damaged.
