Explore Leashes are for dogs who love adventures as much as we do.

You know that look your dog gives you as you put on your shoes? It's the one that asks "am I coming?" The full-body wag that follows when you clip on their leash tells you everything you need to know. All your dog needs to have an adventure is you, and you know that the greatest adventures happen with your best friend.

Our Explore Leashes are made with Biothane, a coated webbing that feels leather-like but is waterproof, stink-proof, and easy to clean after muddy adventures. Biothane is strong but lightweight, durable, and stays flexible even in the cold - we think it is pretty rad stuff.

Perfect for hiking with your dog, camping, going to the river for a swim, or the nightly dog walk in your neighbourhood.

Choosing a Size:

There is lots of overlap in size, you know your dog best! If your dog is a strong puller (or an enthusiastic greeter - you know who you are) you may want to go up a size. If you are unsure what to order please don’t hesitate to contact us first at hello@northrangedogs.com

Explore Leashes come in three sizes:

Small Explore Leash

1/2 or 5/8" width
For people and dogs that prefer lighter weight gear (don't worry, it's still very strong!)
with small clip: best suited for dogs 10-30 lbs
with large clip: best suited for dogs 20-75lbs

Explore Leash

3/4" width
Best suited for dogs 20-85 lbs

Big Explore Leash

1" width
Best suited for dogs 40-85++lbs
For people who prefer a wider more substantial leash
Uses the biggest clip

Explore gear is pretty awesome stuff. All of our Explore Gear uses genuine Beta Biothane®, a coated webbing made in the USA. The gear is

waterproof, dirtproof, and made for adventure.
The inner webbing core makes the gear strong; much stronger than leather of similar thickness.
The coating is flexible, even when it's cold outside, and feels almost leather-like. It resists scrapes, scuff, and cracking, and isn't prone to mildew or mold. However, it isn't chew-proof (sorry friend, nothing but metal really is).
Cleaning is a snap - use some soap and water and you are good to go.
We carefully select our hardware to be durable and reliable.
